Question #2 design features a quote from the ICON Kathleen Cleaver: Kathleen Neal Cleaver was born in Dallas, Texas, on 13th May, 1945. While studying at Barnard College she became involved in the civil rights movement and left college to work full-time for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). The following year she met Eldridge Cleaver and moved from New York to San Francisco to join the Black Panther Party (BPP). The couple married on 27th December, 1967. Kathleen Cleaver became the BPP's National Communications Secretary and helped to organize the campaign to get Huey P. Newton released from prison. She was also the first woman to be appointed to the Black Panthers Central Committee. Kathleen Cleaver graduated from Yale University in 1983 with a degree in history, soon after she also received a law degree from Yale University. Cleaver is a senior lecturer at Yale University and at Emory Law School. She is an attorney and author of two books, Liberation, Imagination and the Black Panther Party: A New Look at the Black Panthers and Their Legacy and Memories of Love and War.
