The Be Cool Tee features Black Panther founders the revolutionary ICONS Huey P. Newton & Bobby Seale.
Huey P. Newton: A revolutionary African-American political activist who, along with Bobby Seale, co-founded the Black Panther Party.  As a student at Merritt College, Newton became involved in politics. He joined the Afro-American Association, became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and played a role in getting the first African-American history course adopted into the college's curriculum. During his time at Merritt College, he met Bobby Seale, and the two co-founded the Black Panther Party for Self Defense in October 1966. Newton died on August 22, 1989. 
 
Bobby Seale:  An African-American political activist, and founder, along with Huey Newton of the Black Panther Party. Sadly, in 1969 Seale was indicted for conspiracy to incite riots during the Democratic national convention the previous year. The court refused to allow him to have his choice of a lawyer. When Seale rose to insist that he was being denied his constitutional right to counsel, the judge ordered him bound and gagged. He was convicted of 16 counts of contempt and sentenced to four years in prison. Seale continues to be active in poltics and civil rights.
